THE OPPORTUNITY

Anivas Tech is seeking a Solutions Architect to support our government agency IT operations. We are looking for a skilled professional with 15+ years of relevant experience who brings strong technical expertise and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a mission-driven, high-visibility environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Define and drive enterprise-level technical architecture strategies aligned with government agency mission objectives.

• Lead architecture reviews and provide authoritative guidance on system design, integration patterns, and technology selection.

• Collaborate with government stakeholders, project managers, and engineering teams to translate mission needs into actionable technical roadmaps.

• Develop and maintain architecture artifacts including solution designs, reference architectures, and integration blueprints.

• Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their applicability to improve agency operations and reduce technical debt.

• Ensure all architectural decisions adhere to security, compliance, and federal IT governance standards including FISMA, FedRAMP, and NIST.

• Serve as a technical advisor and escalation point for complex cross-system integration and infrastructure challenges.

• Support Agile delivery teams by providing architectural guardrails and participating in sprint planning and design sessions.

• Coordinate with vendors, cloud service providers, and third-party contractors to ensure architectural cohesion.

• Produce and present architectural briefings, risk analyses, and trade-off assessments to senior leadership and government stakeholders.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• US citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; 5 additional years of relevant experience accepted in lieu of degree.

• 15+ years of progressive experience in IT, with at least 7 years in a solutions or enterprise architecture role.

• Demonstrated experience designing large-scale, distributed systems and enterprise integrations.

• Deep knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and hybrid cloud architectures.

• Strong understanding of networking, security, databases, middleware, and application development disciplines.

• Experience with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or equivalent.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical senior stakeholders.

• Ability to lead technical teams and drive consensus across organizational boundaries.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Active Secret clearance or higher.

• Experience in federal IT modernization programs or large-scale digital transformation initiatives.

• Agile, SAFe, or hybrid delivery methodology experience.

• Relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Expert, or TOGAF Certified.

• Experience with Zero Trust Architecture and federal cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST RMF.
